Welcome to Sam’s Stars – where creativity, fun, and support come together!

Hi, I’m Sam, and I’m passionate about creating a nurturing space where children aged 0–18 and their families feel supported, inspired, and empowered. At Sam’s Stars, I offer a range of personalised and engaging activities designed to meet the unique needs of every child. From sensory sessions and food-based fun to speech and language support, as well as tailored advice and guidance, everything I provide is designed to encourage development, confidence, and joy. Together, we’ll create meaningful experiences that support your child’s growth every step of the way.

 

At Sam’s Stars, every child’s uniqueness is at the heart of what I do.

I believe that play and exploration are powerful tools for learning and development—and that every child deserves the opportunity to engage in activities that are truly adapted to meet their individual needs.

 

I’m passionate about nurturing creativity, encouraging a sense of fun, and helping children connect with and explore the world around them in ways that feel safe, engaging, and meaningful. Through personalised experiences, I aim to support each child in discovering their likes and dislikes, and in developing the confidence to communicate those preferences with the people around them.

 

At Sam’s Stars, it’s all about creating joyful, inclusive experiences that empower every child to thrive.

 

My experience

With over 20 years of experience supporting children and young people aged 0–18 and their families, I’ve had the privilege of working across a wide range of roles, settings, and abilities.

Now, I’m proud to bring that experience into a service that’s truly personalised—tailored to meet the unique needs of every child and family I work with. Sam’s Stars is all about nurturing potential through creativity, connection, and play.

My Experience & Training Includes:

  • ✅ PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) Trained
  • ✅ Portage Training Completed
  • ✅ Attention Autism Trained
  • ✅ Skilled in Intensive Interaction Techniques
  • ✅ Experienced in Understanding and Managing Behaviour
  • ✅ Family Support Worker, including running Discover Baby and Play and Learn sessions
  • ✅ Special Support Assistant (SSA) and 1:1 Support in specialist school settings
  • ✅ Teaching Assistant (TA) and Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – supporting both individuals and small groups in mainstream schools
  • ✅ 15 Years as a Personal Assistant to children and young people with additional needs

This broad background allows me to provide well-rounded, responsive support that meets children where they are—and helps them grow with confidence.

 

My background in education and family support has given me wide ranging knowledge and experience, but a passion for adapting support and activities to meet individual needs.
